NASH FINCH WORKERS

On February 10, 2014, NASH FINCH is scheduled to close

their Blue Ash Warehouse and Transportation Center.

At closing, NASH FINCH employed

33 warehouse workers and 20 drivers.

These worker groups had been Teamsters

for more than 50 years.

Nash Finch acquired this location from Superfoods,

and Superfoods had acquired this location

from Parkview Markets. 

As Parkview markets, this warehouse serviced Parkview stores,

Thriftway stores, Ameristops , IGA stores, Convient Foodmarts

and many small mom and pop grocery stores.

As Parkview markets,  

the Blue Ash warehouse had 180 warehouse workers

and more than 50 drivers.

Over the years, between warehouse and drivers,

there were more than 225 Teamsters employed

at this Blue Ash Distribution Center.

Local 100 is sad that these 53 Teamsters

are being laid-off by Nash Finch.

The Nash Finch warehouse workers and Nash Finch Drivers

are good Teamsters and good workers.

We wish them good luck in their future.
